Fuel Surcharge Policy: Canada

Although fuel prices continue to increase significantly, Securit has decided to freeze fuel surcharge rates indefinitely and maintain the current rate, which was set in April 2008.

Effective January 1, 2008, Securit will be implementing an indexed fuel surcharge for all Securit automatic and purge document destruction services.

Since our founding almost 20 years ago, we have resisted implementing any additional surcharges. As a result, we have absorbed many increased costs, including increases in fuel costs, on behalf of our customers. However, with the current cost of fuel we are unable to continue to fully absorb this

The surcharge will be a flat-rate incremental charge applied to the invoice subtotal based on the invoice bands below. The surcharge will appear at the bottom of each invoice as a separate line item.

Fuel surcharges are subject to change without prior written notice. The duration and amount of any surcharge will be determined at our sole discretion. By tendering your document destruction to Securit, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by Securit.
